My grandson has studied under Master Gordon for over 15 years and has traveled and trained in South Korea with her and trained in Seattle with Grandmaster Leon Preston. He is currently a student at this fine school and a long time classmate of Master Caleb Bell, and Instructors Edmond Bailey, Ansel Bailey, William Adams, and Josh Farmer. The instruction at this school is first rate and the masters/instructors work closely with each student to make sure that they fully understand Taekwondo and the components that are affiliated with it. The master/instructors are serious about students taekwondo education as well as academic education and offer life skills workshops, free tutorial and help students enroll in college. Higher education is very important to this school.

Taekwondo 2 XCELL is an excellent dojang (school). The masters and instructors are all Kukkiwon certified through the World Taekwondo Federation in Seoul Korea and are members of USA Taekwondo in Colorado Springs, CO. The dojang focuses on the four major areas of Taekwondo (poomse (forms), ho sin sool (self-defense), kyuk pa (breaking)and Gyoroogi (sparring)as well as a the cultural history and terminology Korea and Taekwondo. In addition to the major areas of Taekwondo, the dojang offers a free weekly 90 minute Korean class, life skills programs and a free weekly study table for students to get help with homework. The masters and senior instructor are all university graduates from Campbell University, North Carolina State University and the University of Washington, while the assistant instructors are currently enrolled in college. Tuition is $89.00 a month and lower belts attend 3 class a week/12-16 hrs a month, and advance belts attend 4-5 classes a week/30 hrs a month.
Taekwondo 2 XCELL-NC specializes in helping children who have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Autism and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).
The grandmaster of Taekwondo 2 XCELL-Durham is 2008 Beijing Olympics Referee Grandmaster Leon T. Preston (8th Dan) of Seattle, WA.
I've studied at this dojang for over 15 years! It's a wonderful school with even greater instructors. The master of the school and her staff are trained to work with special needs students and children with learning disabilities. My parents enrolled me as a child to work on my ADHD and to learn discipline with my studies. I am presently a college student and I still train under Master Gordon. I even traveled and trained in South Korea with her and staff in November 2014. It was an experience that I'll never forget! I learned so much about Korean culture and Taekwondo.
