We have been attending Superstar Karate since it opened. This is more like a family than a school. The instructor training is excellent, all instructors are well trained and informed. This karate school is known for supporting special needs students in a way they can succeed and progress with the rest of the class. Extra help is available to any student that needs it in an encouraging and supportive environment. Fun and exciting classes are offered beyond regular curriculum with students interests in mind. Thank you to all the staff that work so hard to help others be successful!

Since my son started SuperStar Karate he show us how respectful, helpful, kind boy he can be.

This school teaches much more than karate. They teach respect for yourself and the others, self confidence, self defense, how to achieve your goals and how to respond and resolve problems.

Superstar karate is amazing. They are wonderful with the children and take their time omg sure that each one knows how to do each step. They are amazing at teaching the children good morals for life. They have mat talks about different subjects. They are very welcoming and wonderful at answering questions. They have thought my son so far about being confident and how to focus better. I have seen such an improvement so far. Glad I invested.

Our daughter started at Superstar Karate three years ago. She was so happy when I joined her on the mat a few months later. We are both training for our 1st degree Blackbelts. The classes are taught by talented, dedicated teachers and in addition to the Karate, are a great workout! I originally enrolled my daughter for the Karate, but we became a Superstar Karate Family and stayed because of the lessons that go ‘beyond the mat’. Confidence, Responsibility, Respect, Kindness, Perseverance. Vital life skills for our physical and moral state.

Superstar Karate is great place to learn Karate, and their instructors help students to become not just karate masters but also better in every way. They learn how to become better person, friend, and they give them amazing life lessons. At every class they have mat talks that teach students respect, focus, and much more. Academy is very family oriented and their instructors are the best. It is very satisfying for me as a parent to listen young instructors who teach my 7 year old because they giving themself and work so hard for those kids. They have many more great events like celebration week, where kids can bring friend or siblings, free pizza party, and many more. My daughter was lucky to get free Birthday party at karate this summer, and she said it was the best Birthday party ever. I highly recommend Superstar karate to everyone!!

I can't say more good things about this place. I originally signed my kids up for karate here years ago and it just wasn't the right time for them. I loved Superstar Karate then, they make you feel so welcome and it really is a no judgement zone here. You are accepted exactly the way you are. I loved this environment and is what prompted me to come back here when I was looking to sign my son up for karate again. He said he wanted to join karate and I immediately thought of Superstar karate. It was a perfect choice. My son walked in and the instructors even remembered him from years ago when he was a dinomite (under age 6 and my son is now 9). My son loves it and it helped and is still helping with behavioral issues he has. A couple months into my son being in karate I decided I wanted to join with my daughter. I absolutely love it and so does my daughter. It's become a family bonding time for us which is so important to me because I work a lot and am very busy being a single parent. This brings us together, helps relieve stress from the day, and is teaching us valuable self defense skills. Superstar Karate also instills good moral values which will help children (and adults!) be respectful and caring to others. It's a very well rounded program that shapes you to be the best version of yourself. I highly recommend and am so glad I found Superstar Karate.

We had been very curious about Karate we have always seen them in the 4th of July parade. They always give out cards with discounts. I was scrolling through Facebook one day and they had a special going for this karate place. So I bought it. It was 2 classes for 6 weeks plus a free uniform, so I bought it. I knew it would only be for 6 weeks but at least the kids would have tried. We went into the first class and we were hooked. The classes were awesome. The instructors took extra time to help the kids understand what they were learning. My favorite part was “mat chats” each class the instructors sit down with the students and talk to them about real issues (examples: being a bully, kindness, being respectful, being thankful. ) They teach on the mat what we try to instill in our kids at home. I knew that moment that this was where we were supposed to be. We have been at superstar for over 7 months now. I am so glad we did the trial.

If you don’t know if it’s a good fit then call and ask for the trial package. Check it out and see how awesome superstar really is! You won’t regret it.

My son Bobby has been going to Superstar Karate for 8 years . Sensei Jason Kiferkmows Martial Arts and runs a fantastic academy!!! The academy practices basics all the way up to 4th degree and beyond on top of character building and team strengthening. My son has been a student here for a couple of years now and loves it--currently a purple belt and plans to continue all the way to black. I highly recommend Superstar Karate not only because the instructors are awesome, but also for the sense of belonging to a community. Unlike many other businesses these days, Superstar Karate does not make you feel like you're just a number lost in the shuffle. Here, they make everyone feel important and valued, and involve the parents as much as possible! There are some parents that have also joined the classes to learn with their child.

I can not brag enough about how much SuperStar had impacted my son and our family. My son has gained confidence, character, and grown as an individual learning important life skills along be with karate. Before SuperStar he was struggling in school and at home. Now with the partnership of SuperStar and his hard work, we have seen improvement all around. We are so happy we tried their trial package and are now watching our son work toward his black belt.

In my family’s 6 years of training, we have all grown so much both physically and mentally. This is a black belt institute. I (mom) earned my 1st degree belt last year and my husband and son will earn theirs this year. We’ve enjoyed the experience and highly recommend Superstar Karate.

Great karate academy! My kids have been training for about a year and a half and I see a lot of improvement in their karate form, school and discipline.

My granddaughter started at Superstar karate in October of 2016. She was a shy, timid 6 year old that was being bullied at school. She is now into her third year and has just blossomed through this whole process. She has gained so much confidence and has found her voice. She has performed on the Cougars field on numerous occasions and at a Black Belt Spectacular.

The folks at Superstar karate welcomed us into their family with open arms and the journey has been an amazing one. The success of their students does not end when they leave the mat, it is carried into all aspects of their lives. They have built a program that incorporates parents and school teachers so the expectations are the same across the board. The instructors are always available to discuss any concerns you may have or accomplishments that your child is proud of. They have developed a wonderful character building program that students can participate in.

Overall, there is just not enough good I can say about the Superstar karate organization. They are an amazing group of people that take pride in the success of their students both on and off the mat.

Superstar karate is amazing! I signed my daughter up for karate 2016 and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made! She's grown so much in so many ways she makes eye contact when she's talking to someone, she's focused and confident. Watching her come out of shell was and is a beautiful thing. The best part is she doesn't get bullied anymore and stands up for others when they can't find their voice and that alone let's me know I made the right decision. The instructors and staff are absolutely wonderful and go above and beyond to help the kids! If your ever not sure about what to do with behavioral issues at home or school they will talk to you and your child, come up with a plan to fix it and check in to make sure there's forward progress it's awesome. If your child has any certain needs that need to be met if you talk to the instructors they will do there best to accommodate that need. Check out their Facebook page they always have some kind of really great deal on the 6 week trial you won't regret it!

WE HAVE BEEN GOING TO SUPERSTAR FOR OVER 1O YEARS. MY OLDEST DAUGHTER STARTED WHEN SHE WS IN A DAYCARE THAT WENT TO THE ACADEMY FOR A FIELD TRIP. SHE IS NOW A 17 YEAR 2ND DEGREE BLACK BELT WORKING ON HER 3RD DEGREE. OUR WHOLE FAMILY JOINED HER SINCE IT WAS SOMETHING THAT THE WHOLE FAMILY CAN DO TOGETHER. UNFORTUNATELY DO TO WORK AND HEALTH RESTRICTIONS BUT WE WOULD LOVE TO BE STILL ON THE MATT . THE ACADEMY HELPS YOU BECOME A BETTER VERSION OF YOURSELF.

Our son has been attending Superstar Karate for three years. This is a great place for building karate skills along with a great place to until good character in your child. If you are interested in training with your kid(s), this is also the place for you! We love it at Superstar Karate!

My instructors are so nice. I love being in karate. It makes me feel so happy and awesome. I really enjoy parents nights out, pizza parties, and advanced class. If I had to rate 1 through 5 how much I love super star karate, I would give it a flat out 5! Thank you for teaching such great things super star karate!

My son has been trading at Superstar Karate for almost 8 years and loves it. Ever since day 1 he has loved going and the experience has brought out so much in him. Sensei Jason Kifer teaches so much then just Martial Arts, he teaches so many fundamentals that we all need to work on in one way or another. Superstar karate is a great school. My son started with the six week trial and had no doubt that he wanted to continue on. The instructors are kind, enthusiastic and are able to help any level. Jake looks forward to class every week, and he is excited to get his next level belt. If you are looking for a place that will help with focus and confidence while having fun, Superstar Karate is the place. I am very happy that we decided to enroll Jake.

The staff is warm and welcoming, always smiling and full of praise for even the most basic achievements. They take the time to notice everyone in the class regardless of skill level or where they choose to stand. A fantastic place for building life skills and self confidence while still learning self defense. And I love that they send postcards with the students picture on them, and a note complimenting their efforts in that particular session. It's the personal touches like this and the engagement of the staff that truly sets Superstar Karate apart from other schools.

My husband and I have been taking classes here for 6 months. We joined to be with our son, who has been there a year longer. The best thing about this karate school? I can’t pick just one! First of all, they use excellent instructional techniques to appeal to a wide variety of ages, from age 3 on up. Many kids attend these classes, but the same instructors also teach adults in the same classes. This is a great place to help your child grow physically, mentally, and emotionally, but the same can be said for adults. Their character education focus and activities are second to none, even going way above and beyond what our neighborhood public schools teach. This character education is applicable to all ages as well. You can’t attend this school and NOT have your life enriched. It can also make for a great family activity. The instructors accommodate for any special learning needs as well as any physical (temporary or permanent) adaptations needed. But the best part is that, while they do emphasize doing your best, you are guaranteed to have fun due to the various rotating activities (you’re never bored), efficient pace, and specific, individualized feedback. Come check it out! Give it a try and see how much you like it! You won’t regret it.

The staff and community at Superstar Karate work extremely hard to encourage and strengthen not only the martial arts skills, but life skills needed to be successful. Any agreed student is welcomed as a member of the community and is pushed to be the best they can be. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in karate, but be ready to become a better person as well!

A great location to learn self-discipline, teamwork, self-defense, and leadership. All within the confines of hard working karate training. The trainers are fabulous and the instruction is accessible to all ages, from 3 years on up. A wonderful way for the whole family to bond while learning some useful skills, and instilling all with well developed character training.

I have been a student of Superstar Karate since they first opened their doors. It is an amazing place learn learn martial arts and life skills! They are understanding when your life suddenly changes and you need to modify the way you train. I feel like they treat everyone like family! I couldn't imagine training anywhere else!

The other review is correct that it is expensive, but what my daughter has gotten out of it is worth it. We are not rich people and it is hard on our budget, but Master Kifer has given my daughter a free birthday party, parents' night out, Bo Staff seminar and a free 1 week summer camp. They do run discounts on supplies through the year. They sometimes have used supplies that you can purchase.

What I am amazed about is no matter who is teaching the class the kids are listening and doing what they are told to do.

This isn't shameless bragging its the truth.

My child wanted to advance in Karate, so we looked into this school last Fall. Although it's called Superstar Karate, the focus was not on Karate. Rather, it was on a combination of martial arts (including Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido) with a big focus on discipline and "being a better person in life," which is great but not what we were looking for. Parents of other kids there, were impressed with my kid's skills from another Karate dojo, even though my kid was a lower belt level. This was a red flag to me.

Also, they would not give my kid credit for the higher belt level unless we signed up for a 1 or 2 year contract at over $150 per month. That's more than $1,500 per year! And that doesn't include the gear, which is required, and costs over $300! (You can't use the gear you bought in another karate program.)

The only program they offered that costed a more reasonable price of around $50 per month, required my kid to start over as a white belt, despite her experience. And we still would have had to purchase over $300 worth of equipment for it.

If you have plenty of money, and a focus for your child's life is improving that child's discipline, then this is the program for you. But if you want straight Karate, it's not quite the best fit.

I also have to mention that it was a little scary, how they control what is said about them. The control they have over what you hear about them, together with the rules that parents must bow to them and recite the creed at every session where they say (along with the kids) that we will do things “whether I like it or not,” is a bit creepy. Although the people there are very nice and positive, this message to parents of submission to their high level of control, made me pretty uncomfortable.

Their instructors ARE very impressive. But we went with private instruction for less money.
