While it is true that Sensai does not always teach all the classes, his "non-black belt" assistants HELP him which teaches the others respect for others and confidence for those assisting. Sensai is always right there to encourage, instruct, correct, and direct the training. He works wonders with all types of students and is passionate about instructing true Karate. I have been going with the children for over a year and, having been raised in Southeast Asia, am very familiar with what should be in these classes. It is an excellent Dojo!

Classes taught my non black belt students

Jul 16 2013 by WP (Familiar with the School , No Personal Experience at this school)

Quality of Instruction:
Poor
Other aspects:
Poor

No!

I know several people who went to this school and quit after the level of instruction started dropping. The sensei/owner does not teach most of the classes. They are usually taught by a non black belt student. The sensei/owner will be in the building, but is not nearly as "hands on" as his website and testimonials suggest.

My 6 years old son is struggling with ADHD and I was looking for something that would help him with his focus. He started in May 2012 and he is now a blue belt. Sensei Tim has really worked with him to improve his listening skills and his focus. If your are looking for a family oriented dojo with a lot of personal attention this is definitely the place to go.
