Health-First Fitness - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
The Stillness Gym is an academy of self-cultivation, that uses fitness and martial art as tools for improving a person's relationship with themselves, and with the people and planet that surround them.
Many programs promise development in attributes such as discipline, self-confidence, resiliency, and more; in practice, such development often takes a back seat, and is generally seen as a positive byproduct of training. At The Stillness Gym, the roles are reversed: here, those attributes are viewed as the reason for training. In developing a healthier, more capable body, and by being comfortable in your own skin, you'll be better equipped to share the best of yourself with the world.
We use martial art and fitness as lenses through which we can view ourselves and our world. By improving the quality of our lenses, we can improve the quality of our experience. In studying the underlying principles of our practice, we seek to apply those lessons through all facets of our lives.
