Steubenville Bujinkan Dojo
We are an ongoing group that train in traditional Japanese martial arts. Classes consist mostly of paired practice in which students work on a set curriculum. The art we practice is called Budo Taijutsu. Budo Taijutsu training consists of the practice of techniques from various historical lineages practiced by ninja and samurai. Such training is both traditional and modern in its approach in that we preserve traditional training methods while applying them to contemporary situations. These techniques consist primarily of strikes, kicks, joint locks and throws. Budo Taijutsu is an effective martial art for self-defense.
If you are interested in observing a class, come by the Steubenville YMCA at St. Johns Arena and set up a time to check out a class. We meet three days a week: Saturday morning, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to about 7:15 PM.
