I learned karate from the Dojo at the YMCA in Rapid City. I was younger then but I got my green belt from my testing.

Very effective in my life and study with this dojo!
I have known Joseph Alvarez Hanshi for over 40 years. We started training in the old days under Carl Lange Sensei. This style has helped me through college and the military. I also relied on this training as a police officer for my safety. Alvarez Hanshi is an outstanding teacher. He is humble and knows the meaning of hard work. A full contact PKA fighter who went undefeated. He has also trained in multiple disciplines which benefit his students. If you are looking for a place to better yourself and challenge yourself: this dojo is for you. I am a Godan (5th degree blackbelt student of Alvarez Hanshi.) I have trained for over 40 years and have had many of my own Shudokan Karate Schools. Currently I have two in Hugo, Oklahoma.
