My name is Dan O'Grady. I am a 8th Degree Black Belt (Kyoshi) promoted by GM 9th Degree Black Belt Joseph A. Alvarez of Rapid City, SD in Shudokan Karate. Shudokan is now being taught at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo, Oklahoma. I was promoted to the current Hachidan(8th Dan) Rank on 12-27-2023. Joseph A. Alvarez is the Vice-Chairman and Hall of Fame inductee in the Okinawan Martial Arts Federation. Grand Master Dr. Ronald Helling has passed away. I am now the Director of the Okinawan Martial Arts Federation appointed by GM Joseph A. Alvarez. On 1 April 2016 after testing for ten hours, I was promoted to Master, Red Sash in Combat Martial Arts by Grand Master David Hinkle. On 3 December 2016 I was promoted to Instructor in Ok Kwan Chi by Grand Master Floyd M. Griffin IX Dan in Tae Kwon Do and creator of Ok Kwan Chi. You will need your credentials in order to include your lineage. On 9 April 1976 I was promote to Ist degree black belt as an Head Instructor for 2nd Force Recon in Hwarang Do Hand To Hand Combat by Michael Echanis at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Only the 7th military person to be promoted to black belt at that time. I was a member of Marine 2nd Force Recon.
