I was highly surprised to see this style being taught by an african american lady! She sure knows her stuff. She is helped by her daughters who are amazing too. Go check them out and you will see for yourself. There are lots of Dojos in the area, but if you want your child to learn discipline in a respectable atmosphere, choose this dojo. Highly qualified with Autistic and adhd kids as mine are and they are excelling!

Our 3 children go here and the instruction is amazing. 2 of our kids have ADHD and the female instructor knows how to keep them focused. I highly recommend this place. I know it's easy to get caught up in the flashy and advertised names on uniforms and the different colors but what we sought for our children was a place that was kid friendly, family oriented and knowledgable instructors. We found it. If you are looking for excellent martial arts instruction, I highly recommend the Shotokan academy of karate in suisun city.

We had been looking for a karate place for our son for a while now and we tried out taekwondo and found that they are very expensive and tried to lock us into a contract. I am in the Military and Contract wouldn't work for us in case I get deployed and the family has to leave. We found a karate at the community center and its husband and wife and they have two beautiful daughters and one is a brown belt and she is very sweet and helped my son on his first day. We love Shotokan, all the instructors and parents are very nice. Very impressed with the Instruction from all Instructors!

My daughters attend and they are extremely excited every time its karate day. I cant tell you enough how impressed I am with this husband and wife team along with there high ranking students how much the care and respect the students. I have seen some kids acting out and the wife would calmly, yet firmly, remind the child that his/her behavior would not be tolerated and how disrespectful they were being. It was a gentle discussion and well respected. The instructors have two young girls and the oldest is very powerful, I have seen her in action and wow, many friends I know have talked about how good she is and they did a board breaking presentation recently too and she made those boards wish they had never met her. Their youngest is very cute with a lot of personality. Great job overall and we are happy to be part of such and Awesome team

Hey, its me again R. Lowe, I hit the wrong button, I definitely Recommend this School to anyone who is looking for a disciplined, great atmosphere, educated, and caring instructors.

My Daughter started training here about 4 months ago and she loves it. The instructors are husband and wife with two young daughters of their own who are very smart and tough girls. I have seen many of their high belt students in action and I am amazed at how strong and powerful they are. I cant wait for my daughter to become more disciplined in the art of Shotokan. The Instructors are very caring and the kids love them.
