Programs & Class Schedule

Shoshin Ryu is a classical martial art with its emphasis on Self Defense and perfection of one's spirit, one' character. There are finger fingers of the art which all integrate together to create a very powerful self defense based system. Those fingers are atemi (striking/kicking), nage (throwing arts), Jujitsu (grappling and joint locking), kata (forms) and weaponry. The Plymouth Dojo has over 2,000 square feet of spring based flooring and matting. There is a kids' play room, a break/snack room and a wonderful viewing area for family members and friends to watch classes.

Youth programs are available four days a week for ages 6-12 which incorporate the five fingers. Students initially work on learning how to learn, how to focus, how to be respectful both in and outside of class in addition to developing martial arts skills. All this integrates to help develop courteous, confident children. Students can also test for various belt ranks over time as they grow within the program with no testing fees.

Adult programs are available 5 days a week for those 13 years and older. Classes are available in each of the fingers as well as overall self defense training. Adult students also can test for various belt ranks and eventually for Black Belt and above, with no testing fees.
