Relaxed, fun, and skilled training group

This is a fun dojo to train with, relaxed atmosphere without a lot of ego, pressure or competition.

Friendly to women and LGBT, which isn't always the case with martial arts classes. They have a kids group that trains also, and the head instructor actually teaches the kids, instead of delegating it to a lower belt.

It's pretty cheap at only $40/month compared to some of the other schools, and they let you try it for free for a while first to see if you like it.

No idea what the low-rating reviewer is talking about with religion and their weird rant, probably a bot or spam account.

Great group to train with

This is a really great group to train with; the people are very friendly and helpful. The school is non-competitive, with an emphasis on personal growth. There are belt rankings, with tests twice a year, but it's fairly laid back. It's a go-your-own-pace type of school, where you can advance as quickly or as slowly as you're comfortable with, provided you've got the material down. The senseis are very knowledgeable, and are also excellent teachers. The teaching style is cooperative as opposed to punitive. The material is a lot of fun; there's self defense, throwing, groundwork, kata, and weapons training. The monthly cost is also very low when compared with just about any other martial arts grou out there.

Please disregard another reviewer's comments about golden tablet nonsense. .. I've been with this group for years, and can say it's total nonsense.

Not hear in Anchorage AK. cult

No!

If you came to practice or learn a true martial art look else where. They want your money and nothing else, well they also want you to believe in golden tablets that where buried in the dirt depicting Christs last book in the Bible. But it was lost or stolen, or something. Have fun with this tribe....lol
