Sensei Candy Karate is based out of Amarillo and has been teaching American Karate Black Belt Association Karate Program in Dumas since June 2021. Currently has 28 students age 4 and up. Sensei Candy Karate is owned and operated by Candace Boggs 3rd Dan Black Belt a member of AKBBA and Texas Black Belt Commission. She has over 30 years experience and former State and two time Grand Championship holder. She is overseen by Amarillo Karate Taekwondo (oldest, most respected dojo in Amarillo) under a 9th Degree Master Black Belt, Mr. Nelson Harvey. Candace is a Rape Survivor that is passionate with the curriculum she teaches. Candace is a certified Preskills instructor that focuses on the self improvement of students. Preskills is a great way to start your Martial arts journey. Candace has been teaching Karate full time since 2014 and is a part of a non-profit organization in Amarillo that makes sure every child has the same opportunities. She has taught in Several Cities including Dumas, Wellington, Claude, Fritch, Canyon, Clarendon and Borger.
The Black Belt Program is Confidence building Self-defense Karate. She is Currently head instructor in Dumas, , Charles Warford Activity Center and Amarillo Karate. Program focuses on students under the age of 18 and gives them social skills for the future. The program is designed to build the students Confidence and abilities to assure they are never a victim. The program is Nationally and Internationally recognized if your child wishes to continue their Martial arts Journey. Students will attend Formal Belt Testing, Tournaments, Demonstrations, Charity Events, Fundraisers, Community Service and Volunteering to build Character in each student.
Our program is the Art of Fighting without Fighting! Meaning your child will be confident in their abilities and mentally stronger to face problems in their Future. They will know what they are capable of and less willing to prove it. Making them less of a target.
