Self Defense America is not a "Tournament" school, nor a "Black Belt" factory interested more in cranking out large quantities of Black Belts rather than devoting attention to quality training on an individual basis.
Many people join martial arts with the goal in mind of having a black belt. However, a black belt is not simply black material tied around your waist. A Black Belt earned is a sign of dedication and discipline.
It is not merely a sign of physical ability, but also one of commitment and perseverance.
