I’ve had the best training for mixed martial arts at this studio. Koyosi is a well trained martial artist. She can take on all levels from beginners to black belts. She is great with the kids and also teaches life skills they will need. If you want to boost your confidence this is the place. Everyone enjoys to be there and its a great environment. Fun for all

This school is a great place to get the proper training in the arts. Kyoshi has worked to get the kids motivated to be there best. She has been the best thing for my daughter who trains there also. Kyoshi has a passion for the arts and will bring out the best in you.

This place has several complaints registered against it. They like to sell you seminars and classes, then not deliver them. They refuse to refund any prepaid money. The lead instructor does not work well with kids, and is often unkind. For further info, check out http://sekaiblackbeltreview.com

Sekai Black Belt Academy has lost its edge

This place changed when the lead instructor passed. They do not split classes by Beg, Int, Adv, so each time a new group of white belts begin, all belts go back and review basics. When they do offer advanced training (which is very seldom), they bring in guest instructors and charge participants pricey additional fees to participate.
They entice you with free extra classes that require a pricey uniform and weapons investment, then cancel the classes at will for months at a time. Also, this place requires lengthy payment contracts.
Be cautious and ask a lot of questions when considering this place.

Great place for kids to study Martial Arts and learn leadership skills

My 12 year old son has been coming to Sekai Black Belt Academy for about 8 months and absolutely loves it here! The instructors are top quality and really care about the students. In addition to martial arts skills, leadership training is a focus of the kids curriculum. My son has taken these lessons to heart and I have seen him integrate them into other parts of his life such as taking a more proactive approach with homework, helping out more at home, and mediating a positive outcome when other kids have been pushed around at school. This studio also offers top quality instruction in martial arts and fitness for adults. If you are looking for a family centered place for your kids to study martial arts or get in shape yourself, Sekai Black Belt Academy is definitely worth a try.

Great instruction, and a big investment

Probably two of the best martial arts instructors anywhere. Very knowledgable and great with kids. They require a six month contract to begin, then 1 and 2 year contracts after that. They also require all supplies, weapons and uniforms are purchased from them and only them. These items are priced much higher than what you can buy them for elsewhere, and you are required to buy more items as the student progresses to each level. It's a great place to learn if you are serious about learning martial arts, but it requires quite an investment.
Sekai has taught my daughter not just the physical, but the mental aspects of self discipline and self respect great atmosphere for learning and having fun.
