I can't believe I like Taekwondo

After training for years in wrestling, jujitsu and boxing, I wanted to learn how to kick. A kungfu teacher in Chinatown told me about AlkiTKD. I have avoided TKD for 20 years due to bad press- I took the plunge and it was love at first sight: great teachers, humble training center and traditional roots. My training feels complete-thanks AlkiTKD!

People who care more about teaching a traditional martial art and not making money

Since the 1970s TKD has plummeted to a slap boxing sport.

Alki TKD predates this era and represents a golden age of traditional

Martial arts training, now adapted to a younger generation.

Children thrive at Alki TKD. At a glance you would think that everyone in class is having too much fun and interaction with one another to be 'really' working out, but they do!
