The school has been operating in Santa Fe for 28 years, with a very diverse clientele. Family-friendly with 4 choices for differing age groups: Tai Chi Chuan, TaeKwonDo, Hapkido, or Ju Jitsu . The instructors are very receptive to feedback and genuinely care about the students they teach. I highly recommend this martial art center.
My son has trained there for a number of years and the head instructor Master Walker has a vicious dog that he keeps there and in his car outside of the school. The dog bit a student and he bounced leaving the dog in the JuJitsu side of the dojo. A former instructor was there and was left to deal with the situation when animal control arrived. I don't think the former instructor is employed by the school. Messages were relayed back and forth with animal control over the phone. The dog was taken by animal control since, Walker, had no shot records for the dog at the time. Upon returning to the school for training the dog was back chained up in front of the school acting aggressive and I think this is unconscionable given that a vicious dog is around children, and has bit other people is my understanding & experience. Needless to say we are training at another Dojan.
