This school is Dover NJ's best kept secret. Though, I wish it would stay that way...it would probably be bad for business. Sakura is by far the best BJJ school in the area with an amazing instructor/coach, Chris Civello.

Also, I'd like to note that Sakura is 1 of 9 Marcelo Garcia associated schools in the USA. That alone should be enough for you to check out the place.

SakuraBJJ is a great school with a humble teacher, Chris Civello. I've been training here for 6 months and I'm very happy I found this school. It's a school that actually cares about it's students and not their money. My family and I have benefited greatly. No watered down BJJ here!

We love this school for our 5-year-old son! He may be little, but he is being taught authentic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by a wonderful, patient and fun coach! Right from the first lesson he came home showing us the techniques he was learning! The owner let us come and try out a class for free, and we were so impressed by him and his staff that we quickly signed up. There is no shortage of parking and the waiting room has plenty of space to hang out and watch the class. My son receives 45 minutes of fun-filled quality jiu jitsu training in each lesson and he can't wait to go back! I am recommending the kids class at Sakura Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to anyone and everyone in the Dover NJ area who is looking for authentic, quality training for their beginning jiu jitsu students.

I have been studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mostly with Chris for over a year now, he is by far the most caring and dedicated coach i have had, his ability to recognize the strong points in your game almost immediately and tweak a move to instantly help you is one of a kind. His dedication at tournaments to drop what he is doing and coach you through situations just shows he goes above and beyond. I am very honored to take the journey of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with Chris!
