I did a lot of research on a good martial arts program for my son. With the 6 week trial program i couldn't go wrong, and could make sure it met my expectations. I have not been disappointed! This isn't just another guy trying to make a buck. Master Rifkin takes pride in doing things right. He explains why he teaches the curriculum the way he does with practical real life things. Probably the best well rounded program I could think of with a blend of takwondo, Karate, and Aikido. He really breaks it down for the kids so it's easy to understand, but he makes em work for it! My son has come alive! His respect is better at home and he has so much more confidence. He can't wait for the next class. After just a couple weeks, I couldn't take it I had to join too. It's been about 2 months and I have already lost 25lbs! I get a great workout and chance to just get away from the busyness of life. The people there are all super kind and non judgmental, the atmosphere is inviting. No matter why your looking into martial arts chances are you'll find what your looking for at Master Rifkin's school. Just come check it out it won't be long til your hooked!

We have been looking in the Columbia area for a school that will teach our son, but not just give him a belt. Master Rifkin clearly expects the best from his students. The intensity of his teaching is clearly the best we have seen and we are so happy our son now has the opportunity to train with this school.

My 9 year old daughter has been attending RPKC for almost two months. I have watched her go from being somewhat introverted to a self confident, out going individual. Master Rifkin is a much disciplined instructor and demands the same from his students. At RPKC each student receives encouragement along with positive feedback from the instructors. Master Rifkin not only teaches students the proper way to execute Karate moves, he incorporates words of wisdom in classes. One day he asked his students what the definition of a “black belt” was. No one knew the answer he was looking for. He told the students a “black belt” is a “white belt” that never gave up, and that hold’s true for anything you do in life. Never give up. RPKC is the best in town. I would highly recommend enrolling if you are serious about learning Karate.

Master Rifkin is the absolute best in town. Don't waste your money going to any other school. I enrolled my 9 year old daughter in RPKC on opening day for the two month trial. My daughter absolutely loves it! We have continued our enrollment. Master Rifkin is very personable and great with kids, yet still sets rules and demands complete attention and dedication. If you want your child to learn the real values of martial arts, this is the school for you. I assure you, you will be paying for actual learning and not just a belt.

This is the first martial arts center I've been to in quite some time that doesn't pride itself in how many black belts they turn out in a given period of time, but are rather interested in the quality of the students and material covered. RPKC is definitely not a 'pay money for your belt' kind of school; you pay for your belt with hard work and dedication. Master Rifkin and his training staff are very knowledgable in all that they teach, and being a practitioner of martial arts for most of my life, I feel very comfortable in recommending RPKC as a school to give a look at.

Rifkin Professional is truly just that, professional. I came to the gym with prior martial arts experience and a certain set of expectations of what I wanted in a new martial-arts gym. And thus-far I can can say, without reservation, that Rifkin has exceeded all expectations. JD Rifkin is a next-level athlete, an exceptional instructor, and a complete martial artist. The facilities are new and he teaches all of the classes; makes for a good vibe in the gym.
