As a mother of a 13 yr old boy, who made the move from Ca. to Ks. He had to leave his friends behind which was very hard for him. He began to withdrawal from social activities. His self esteem was at an all time low. He did not believe in himself anymore.

I was looking for an activity to build him up, show him how to believe in himself.

I searched online and came across Rico steel's martial arts academy. This was the best thing I ever searched.

Rico made us feel like family from the start. He truly takes his time to get to know your kid on a personal level. I told him how my son was having a hard time at school. Coach Rico and coach Ivey went to Junction city middle school just to have lunch with my son. I have not come across coaches from any sport who does that. This was definitely place for my son .

My son is motivated, and determine to show respect for the Muay Thai sport. He has found that one true thing that makes him happy. And it's all thanks to coach Rico and coach Ivey. He looks up to them with so much respect. You both have made a tremendous impact in his life. I can't thank you two enough.

Wanted to go there and train with my spouse. Went in and meet with him and he talked a good game. He told me that me and my wife would be able to be partner's and that our size difference would not be an issue as soon as i paid he changed his mind and said no to that. I also informed him of a medical procedure that I had coming up and that I would be able to start after it and my recovery was to be short. He said that was fine and asked that I pay prior to starting and I thought that would not be an issue. Well I had my procedure and things did not go as planned. During my procedure I had a heart problem and had to be difiberlated and now i can't do anything. I tried for over a week to contact him afterword to inform him stopped in and was told he wasn't in. After calling and calling he finally answered and I told him that I couldn't do it now since the doctor just found a serious heart problem and he said have your wife stop by after the weekend seeming fairly sympathetic and understanding. She did and all he said was no refunds just credit. Well the credit would be great but hard to use in an mma establishment when your on cardiac medicine a monitor implanted in your chest and you can't do any strenuous activities. There is no sign anywhere stating no refunds and considering the circumstances all I want is my 300 dollars back. It's a lot of money and is not like I just changed my mind I gave a serious heart issue and am still awaiting heart surgery now. Come on rico your a business owner be understanding

Rico Steele's Martial Arts Academy is a great place to train in (MMMA) Rico and his staff are very polite, and will work with you on payments. He also will supply the uniform and belt free of cost to you when you join. They are very well trained and displianed in what they do and how they teach. I will recommand Rico Steele's MMA to any and everyone that is interested.
