The only place I'd train....!

I've trained in the discipline of Muay Thai all around the Bay Area! I've trained under the great George Tsutsui... Brandon Banda, and Dan Black. I've visited most of (all) the gyms and facilities throughout Cali allowing me a completely subjective opinion! R&G approaches the art with a genuine sense of traditional Thai but obviously Americanized! Their goal and focus is to introduce their students to an experience that challenges you mentally while maintaining a physically exhausting work-out! Mind you I enjoy training with individuals from all experiences and find that R&G excels at addressing individuals' skill sets! The atmosphere is pseudo-serious allowing for you to have fun in a safe environment! You'll find students from all age groups, skill set, and even genders! The environment is family set because they're opening their home to "you" and willingly offer up over (16+10+5) 31 years of experimece amongst the instructors!

If you're looking for a place to grow and bond with a group of individuals that are selfless in the persute to educate you in the most beautiful martial art I've ever experienced then give the family a call! It's painless I promise! If you have any questions or concerns the only way to know is to show up! The goal is to do this full time and if you want to be part of that generation that expands with the school then by all means join up! You honestly won't regret your decision! You don't need to spend an exorbitant amount $ on training. The price is beyond fair and I know your weeknights are free! Seriously if your in the area and want to give your child self confidence and humility you have to experience Muay Thai at R&G and no where else! They know there technique and love Muay Thai as much as life :) Great family and friends for life... the students are great... the atmosphere is great! hope to see you here!

Martial Arts has been a lifestyle I've been apart of since I was 4 years old. I've been through many different schools in many different countries and states in various styles that include: Kyokushin/Shitoryu Karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, to name a few. When I eventually relocated to Antioch I came across this gym by referral of a friend who has trained Muay Thai since he was a very young age. Trusting his judgement I came into the next class and started my journey into the art of 8 limbs. Right away I was impressed by the structure of the classes, family-like environment, and professionalism and knowledge of the coaches. Only after a few months of Muay Thai training I was already competing in events against fighters from big name gyms such as Fairtex, Team Usa, and Tsutsui. R&G Muay Thai is a great gym/family to be apart for everyone in any skill level whether you're just starting out or if you're a seasoned veteran looking to compete. Among the sea of McDojos and TKD black-belt factories that lock you in dreaded contracts that drain your wallet and teach you nothing but watered down fighting techniques R&G Muay Thai is the flip-side by offering raw and uncut Muay Thai for only 40 bucks a month with no contract!

As a grappler looking to make the transition to MMA I needed to learn striking and by some great chance of luck I found R&G Studios. I've been there for a about 3 months and I have learned something new and valuable at every training session. The coaches work with you on your strengths and weaknesses. Everyone on the team is humble and ready to work hard as soon as they step on the mat.

Ive been training at R&G for about 5 months, and have seen an amazing amount of improvement in my fighting since day one. Even though the classes are tiring and challenging, I'm always looking forward to the next class. the coaches are simply the best; always helping to improve any weaknesses i have, walking me through why my mistakes are bad and showing me how to fix them. they truly do invite you into their family as one of their own.

Thank you Mike & Tony, and everybody at R&G for all your help i cant express my gratitude enough

Whether you're just starting out and looking to test the waters or an experience fighter. This is the place to be, theres a very closeness and family atmosphere almost immediately when you come in. Everyone is very helpful and the coach is always willing to show you in-depth technique for any move. Any question you have is always answered in full detail. I love this place and got very close to everyone while i was there.

First off, I love Team R&G. Before R&G I was boxing at CYC in Concord, Ca, but if you're not one of their ameteur fighters they don't allow you to train past age 18. As I looked for good quality boxing or muay thai gyms in the area all seemed to be too far or way too expensive and not enough personal training with head instructors unless you are an ameteur or pro fighter under they're school. I found out about this place through a good friend who trained here when I watched his exhibition fight in San Francisco. He told me they train right in Antioch and it's a good price. SO i checked it out and have been with them since. The training is great and you learn a lot. It's a smaller and more personal environment than other gyms which I like because you get more hands on time with the trainers. If you're interested in taking up Muay Thai, competing in smokers/exhibition fights, or even ameteur to pro and want a great gym for a good price in the 925 area go with R&G.

WHEN I FIRST STARTED TRAINING AT R&G STUDIOS I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR ME AND NOW I'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AND IM LOVING IT GREAT WAY TO GET IN SHAPE AND LEARN A LOT ABOUT MUAY THAI. IT AIN'T ABOUT LEARNING HOW TO FIGHT IT'S ABOUT PUSHING YOURSELF TO THE LIMITS TO ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING THAT YOU WANT TO DO IN LIFE TO MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF! COACH MIKE AND COACH TONY ARE WELL HUMBLE PEOPLE TO TRAINING UNDER. THEY MAKE US FEEL LIKE FAMILY WHEN WE GO AND TRAIN WITH THEM EVERYDAY. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO JOIN OUR R&G MUAY TEAM EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO TRAIN I RECOMMENDED TRAINING WITH US.
