RCJ Machado Jiu Jitsu: The Colony is the place to be for world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training. RCJ Machado is proud to offer classes for students of ALL LEVELS of experience (from no experience at all to accomplished martial artist), fitness (form overweight to super-fit), and age (from 4 years old and up, men and women).
Head Instructor Michael Madeley, a Black Belt under Carlos Machado, has more than 12 years experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and is dedicated to providing the best training in The Colony/Frisco/McKinney area.
Carlos Machado is nephew to one of the founders of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, late master Carlos Gracie. After learning from his cousins from the Gracie family, and his brothers the Machados (Roger, Rigan, Jean Jacques and John), Carlos is determined to keep the legacy going, and saves no effort in making his students among the best in the world, and that includes Mr. Madeley.
Our classes are curriculum oriented, providing a fast paced yet easy approach to learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Students are helpful to each other, and achieve great results in a short amount of time. Skills taught are realistic for self defense and great for increasing fitness and stamina. Students learn strategies for advancing in rank after completing time and skill requirements, all in a safe and fun environment.

RCJ Machado No-Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
The training never ends here at RCJ Machado Jiu-Jitsu! Alongside our Basic and Advanced classes that require the use of the uniform (Gi), RCJ Machado’s No-Gi classes are to round out your knowledge base and confidence in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without wearing the kimono but rather "street clothing" (shorts and a tshirt or raash guard).
Kickboxing Program
Machado Jiu-Jitsu knows that good training programs are well rounded—we offer Kickboxing as well!
Our kickboxing classes will teach you to be confident on your feet, using combinations of punches, kicks, elbows and knees to make sure you’ll be safe and confident in any situation.
