Proven Martial Arts
Our goal here at Proven Martial Arts is to empower our students by teaching them the discipline of martial arts in a positve way. Our classes have been designed to teach any student regardless of age, size, or physical ability effective self defense techniques while building confidence, focus, and self control.
Mr. Alex Puzza, head instructor< has been a student of martial arts his whole life. Mr. Puzza started his martial arts training due to a bullying issure he faced every day at school. Mr. Puzza began his Tae Kwon Do training under Mr. Nathan Robinson at Robinson's Taekwondo. Soon after enrolling Mr. Puzza learned many self defense techniques and also found confidence in himself that he did not know he had. He was never bullied again.
Years later Mr. Puzza began teaching as an instructor for Mr. Robinson. He enjoyed his time teaching but soon fell in love with it when he noticed the positive impact he was making on his students and their families.
Mr. Puzza is now the owner of the school that he grew up in. Formerly Robinson's Taekwondo, the school now has a new name, Proven Martial Arts. Roninson's Taekwondo has had much success being ranked among the Top 10 schools within the ATA (American Taekwondo Association) and has produced mulitiple State and World Champions. Proven Martial Arts is continueing to meet the same standars set by Nathan Robinson and his school.

The Tiny Tiger program was developed specifically for preschool age children ages 4 through 6. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions.
All classes are taught using the most safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods available for this age group. This program works in conjunction with the Karate for Kids program, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system.

It’s never too late to start!
Adults can start at any age, we have had some adults who started with us at the age of 65, and have still earned their black belt.

Gracie Combatives is our beginner program for adults. In this program, you will learn the 36 core techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in a fun, safe, and cooperative environment. Each one-hour lesson addresses one standing and one ground self-defense technique. You can start the program at any time and participate in any class without previous experience and, since safety is our number one concern, there is no competitive sparring in this program. Upon successful completion of the Gracie Combatives program we will promote you to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt and you will qualify for advancement to the Master Cycle program.
If you’re unsure about trying martial arts training for fear of injury, embarrassment, or any other reason, then the Gracie Combatives program is for you.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu classes are held on:
Every month in the United States, three million children miss school due to fear of bullies. In the Gracie Bullyproof program, our goal is to instill in your child unshakable confidence so they can overcome bullies without violence. Due to the non-violent nature of the techniquess, CNN, NBC, and Oprah have featured the Gracie Bullyproof program as one of the few effective counter-measures to bullying for children between the ages of 8 and 13.
We will teach your child to use verbal assertiveness to deter bullies and several non-violent self-defense techniques to stay safe if physically assaulted. Importantly, we don’t teach how to punch or kick, since this often does more harm than good. Instead, we use leverage-based control holds to neutralize threats without violence. Numerous school districts have embraced the defensive nature of the Gracie Bullyproof techniques as a reasonable, nonviolent response to bullying and some even host Gracie Bullyproof classes on campus! The bottom line is: we will prepare your child to defend themselves against bullies without turning them into one.
If you’re interested in instilling your child with unshakable confidence while reinforcing positive values and good character, the Gracie Bullyproof program is for you!
Gracie BullyProof classes are held on:
Haidong Gumdo ( the art of the sword):
Haidong Gumdo (The art of the sword) also increases focus and coordination. Students who study this rare art find that they increase their strength, focus, balance and confidence in themselves through the many sword forms taught and from many of the exercises.
