Reviews of Tim Barchard's Professional Martial Arts Academy

I tried to give Professor Barchard the benefit of the doubt, but I do not think he deserves the title of sensei. Many classes he lacked enthusiasm, did not constructively work on his students and had poor temperament. Although sometimes he was very nice, these times were over shadowed. He does not seem to clean his establishment very thoroughly either. I also found out some very dark and troubling things about his personal life. He just does not seem genuine, almost to the point of pathological lying. Do not go or send your child here

I enrolled my 2 children and myself at PMA a little over a year ago. I study Muay Thai Kickboxing and my children are enrolled in the karate. We LOVE it! The instructors are caring, patient and enthusiastic. They help develop the person as a whole. They work safety scenarios with the kids and charcter education. The Muay Thai program is a fun high energy and I am learning self defense. My wife and I look at this as investing in our childrens future. We could'nt be happier!
