In my opinion, this is the best place in the area if you want to learn how to fight. Joe is the best instructor in all areas. If you want to learn how to do kadas and break boards, this is not the place for you. However, if you want to learn how to fight, stop in and check it out.

Best place to train for fitness to Martial Arts.

As a student under Joe, i would reccomend this place to any one who is interested in martial arts and learning differnt forms of the art from stick fighting to BJJ. I have been training for 7 months and i feel more confident and ready to face anything. Before you agree with the negitive remarks from people who do not train down there you need to stop by and try it for yourself. you will find out that they were wrong and you are getting into the best decision of your life.

A great place for kids

I have 2 sons, they both trained for 3 years. They are not super athletic kids and had many challenges. Joe did an amazing job instilling in them self confidence.

As a parent, you have to go watch a class, see the other parents, ask them what they think and go with what you and your child want.

We as a family are very happy with the classes the Bigleys provide.

Joe Bigley trains students for reality..

Joe Bigley trains his students to the reality of what happens on the street. Whoever said that Joe was not a student of Scott Seargent's is a liar, I was there when he tested for his black belt under Scott. He is much more than that though, he has trained with world champions like Joe Lewis and under Sifu Paul Vunak. I knew Scott and these bad comments are very dissrespectful. I consider myself lucky to have been there early in Joe's martial art training with Scott, he exceeded what any single teacher could have taught him, Scott was very proud of him. If I had more time, I would humbly devote that time to be his student.

I highly recommend this dojo.

Joe & Cat always present a welcoming atmosphere, and the classes are top-notch. In addition, their wide array of classes ensures that there is truly "something for everyone." I highly recommend their self-defense based courses, which have greatly increased my fitness and self-confidence.

Most legit place I've ever seen. Joe Bigley really does know what he's doing and he constantly continues his own martial arts education. Joe and the other instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable. I went there for years. I would still be going if I didn't go to college. If you don't believe me, check it out for yourself, don't just go on the opinions of others. Love it!

The only thing that keep me from maxing out the rating is the simple fact I have not taken any of the classes and or seminars. However As a former instructor of Judo I have always heard good things about PRIDE DOJO. I have studied their philosophy and as a community corrections officer for Wood County, they tend to be dead on. I highly recommend them to anyone needing self defense skills or wanting to brush up on what skills they already have.
