Situational awareness, tactics, power

The beginning class focused on situational awareness and "street smarts. " It is one thing to "know" what to do when someone points a gun at you and asks for your money, but quite another thing to actually practice scenarios. That's what I really liked about the introduction. ..the techniques were practical, especially for people living in urban areas and for travelers.
As training progresses, we're learning striking and kicking techniques with an emphasis on building up power. It is a great workout for strength and cardio.
Mr. Oja is an excellent instructor who has many years experience training and teaching. His unique perspective helps to make martial arts approachable for everyone.
