think of a south korea dance class. .. pretty much what it is. As long as you know the dance you get a belt. the fundamentals don't matter.
They just care about the money - not your child

They don't care about the students. Their goal is to lock you in a contract and nickle and dime you through marked up gear, belts and "testing".
My son placed 2nd at a tournament, was told he wasn't ready to move up- that "minimum attendance = minimum performance even though the minimum is set by the owner Feldman. ..but we listened and didn't take him to testing- later we were questioned as to why we didn't go to testing - why pay and set him up for failure if they advised he isn't ready, right? they said he would have been a high rank yellow- now i took martial arts and never heard of a high rank yellow and by the way all the students that didn't place at the tournament- got the next belt-
After - my son received no further instruction and actually taught the lower belts until the next testing in which he moved up. ..
after weeks of my son complaining how he is singled out all the time and then me witnessing it the straw that broke the camels back was that one day my wife took him and he had his belt in hand and his bag of newly purchased gear, water and other items- needless to say his hands were full, the owner stopped him saying he needed to be in uniform before he could go inside- even to just put his things down. .. They have a locker room and he has came before and changed without issues. .. we were done- we advised that we would not be returning and that we will find another ATA-
We are still getting bills. . I understand there is a contract- but you go into a contract thinking your child, 6 year old by the way, will be treated and given the same opportunities as the other children.
great instruction muddled by contracts

a decent tae kwon do program with plenty of equipment and people to train with, but a little over priced and not always the most practical training.

I wouldn't go here, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one and totally agree with the other comment regarding it's about the money and not the children. Having to sign a contract for a kids activity is crazy and about getting the money in. Then your paying extra $65 for a quick look over at moves learned (form) and oh don't forget the extra gear you later need. Please make sure this is really where you want you or you child to go, heaven forbid you sign and later down the road go in to let them know you or your child is not continuing. .....watch out they're going to try and get you, see how quick that friendly demeanor disappears real quick !!!
