Perception Sword Academy
Perception Sword Academy aka Sung In Kwan was founded in 2015. The school is located in Dumont, New Jersey in partnership with Sung Moo Kwan Kendo Academy.
Siljun Dobup may be practiced by all students and is a great way to increase focus, discipline, confidence, self-esteem, respect for yourself and others while having fun within a great Sword Martial Arts community.
Head Instructor Brandon Frazier was introduced to Martial Arts by way of Goju Ryu Karate as a child and practiced until his teenage years. Brandon Frazier holds Dan (Black Belt) ranks in Siljun Dobup, Chosun Sebup and Kumdo (Kendo) and continues his studies under Grand Master Jin K. Seong and Head Master Myung Min.

Programs & Class Schedule
Perception Sword Academy offers Real Sword Training classes on Sundays. Real Sword Training may be practiced by all students and is a great way to increase focus, discipline, confidence, self-esteem, respect for yourself and others while having fun within a great Sword Martial Arts community.
Minimum Age required is 9/10 years and above. Students begin practicing with a wooden sword (bokken) and safety is always of the most importance.
Siljun Dobup, a Sword Martial Art is a form of iaido, which translates literally as “real sword training” in Korean. The Art Form focuses on drawing, sheathing and cutting techniques with the sword known in Japanese as the katana.
