Kuk Sool Won of Peoria is a family friendly martial arts school. This traditional Korean martial art is a natural extension of the Tae Kwon Do that I took many years ago, and it covers not only martial arts kicking and hand strikes, but hundreds of techniques against grabs and throws, proper falling to prevent injury, pressure points and joint manipulation, martial weapons and meditation techniques.

This is not the kind of martial arts school that hands out belts for attendance, making each belt a satisfying achievement, bolstering self-confidence. I have also lost several inches around my waist, and I am in better shape than I have been in well over a decade.

After attending class for more than a year some life changes prevented my wife from continuing her training. 5 months went by after renewing her contract without being able to attend a single class she called to see if she could cancel her contract and stop the monthly payment of over $80. She was told that they would not end it outright but she would have to buy out and pay over half of remaining time on the yearlong contract. I will never do business with them again.
