Excellent, but underrated instructor

I've met guro Ferd during the Martial Arts Cultural Exchange event (MACE) in Manteca, CA. Easy going guy and good sense of humor. He's actually a very good instructor and from what I understand leads one of the best kali training groups in the bay. Unfortunately he's often overshadowed by more well-known masters and schools in the area. I'd train with him if he was closer, but alas I live in Richmond. I believe he's a direct student of Tuhon Tim Waid, same guy responsible for teaching the Philippine marines in the 90's.
