Having previously studied taekwondo in Chapel Hill at a rigorous school, it took a long time for me to find a martial arts school in Charlotte with which I was happy. The Peaceful Dragon has been that place for the last 4. 5 years, and I just renewed for another 3 years, but that's only because that's the longest renewal they offer. I plan to continue studying with Sifu Eric Sbarge for MANY more years to come.
Superb instructors with 10-20 years of experience (Sifu has been training over 40 years and teaching for over 20), a fabulous facility with multiple training rooms, surrounded by a gorgeous campus. The camaraderie is the best, everyone welcomes you in and encourages you, lots of classes. ....what's not to love?
Excellent place to study traditional Chinese martial arts.

What you get out of this community is far more than what you put into this school.
I have been training since 2000 and a full Instructor since 2010. In every class, in every way, The Peaceful Dragon exceeds my expectations. I am more vibrant, have greater strength and mobility than when I was in my thirties. I have an amazing support system and a true second family for life. The facility is great but the teachers, staff and students are the best in the business. From the age of 4 to the age of 94, I’ve seen positive, life-enhancing transformations. As a fellow teacher once said “this is a jewel”!
We have been part The Peaceful Dragon family for over 6 years and have enjoyed every minute. My kids have been in the kids Kung Fu program since they were 5 years old and still love to come to the classes, monthly parents night out and the many other events offered, like the Chinese New Year Open House. I get to enjoy the adult Kung Fu and Tai Chi classes. The instructors and fellow students are great and support you in every aspect of your training, regardless if your goal is better health or becoming a top Marital Artist or both. I feel happy and stress-free when training here.
