Good instructors, too much hard sell

The instructors are great and in general it was a good experience for my child. But the amount of constant marketing, upselling and general pushiness is over the top. Kids are constantly urged to bring friends (get new customers for Pai's), and are urged to attend all sorts of extra and expensive activities. Parents are pushed to sign up for long term contracts, yet there are tons of hidden fees. We just finished paying off a black belt contract, but were dismayed to find a hidden additional $500 testing fee. There are all sorts of coercive tricks to make kids feel bad if their parents don't want a long term contract. In our house, Master Yang is affectionately called Master Charge.
