PNWMAA is a World Taekwondo Federation school specializing in full contact sparring. We have the full 20/20 electronic system includes body armor and head guard. Our self defense program is a mixture of Krav Maga and Aikido. We cover everything from joint manipulation, ground self defense, and defense against various weapons.
We have over 60 years combined training students. Master Mike and Mary Carlson spent a decade training, instructing classes and coaching tournaments at a national level under Kukkiwon 8th Degree Black Belt Grand Master Lewis and Kukkiwon 7th Degree Black Belt Grand Master Martinez. We have Multiple Kukkiwon Certified Masters that use a proven multifaceted curriculum to build confidence in every student.
PNWMAA wants each and every student to excel and reach their full potential in a positive environment. "Leave no student behind!" We pride ourselves on building a curriculum around each student. We hold Oregon State Certifications to work with individuals that have Mental or Physical Disabilities and believe everyone can be a Black Belt with hard work and determination.
