Pacific Northwest Martial Arts Academy, is located in Mount Vernon, Washington, and officially opened for business on Saturday, July 5, 2014. Founded by Skagit County resident Jeannette Shea, PNMAA offers quality instruction in internal and external Chinese Martial Arts disciplines. We currently offer classes in Long Fist, Southern Fist, Traditional Chinese Weapons and Taiji (Taichi). Easy-to-remember Self-Defense Workshops are offered from time to time for students ages 12+ and blend external and internal applications into practical real world situations--check our website for more info!
All martial arts (Wushu) and Self-Defense classes are taught by Jeannette Shea. Awards: competed and won three gold medals at CMAT 23 in March, 2015, in Advanced Women's Yang 24 Taichi, Advanced Women's Taichi Straight Sword, & Advanced Women's Taichi Short Weapons (Fan). In San Jose for the 2015 Tiger Claw Elite Championship, Jeannette received medals in all three events (women's advance) and qualified for the grand championship in Women's Advance Internal Style Martial Arts.
PNMAA students competed for the first time in the Seattle International Martial Arts Championship (SIMAC5) during the summer of 2019. All students medaled in their respective events!
