If you or your child is looking for maximized training and not feel like a number in a large class, this studio is the way to go! Instructor/Sifu Steele is an awesome teacher who offers her expertise on a constant basis with her students. For youngsters and teens, she also provide communication on real life events and how to deal with them. I highly recommend this class for anyone who is serious about learning Kempo Karate.

Beyond belt tests for the youth, she will also test mental capabilities through verbal and written tests! An area often missed by most martial art schools.

Ms. Steele seems to really care about the children and their whole development not just the martial arts; the development of their character, knowing right from wrong, and how to recognize and avoid dangerous situations. I think it is quite telling that during National Teacher Appreciation week some of the students' parents actually organized a collection to get a present for Ms. Steele, the teacher. I don't think many karate teachers can say that.

We enjoy learning martial arts with Sifu Oscar Steele, who offers a fun, clean and enjoyable environment in which to study and learn the arts. Sifu is a skilled martial artist with decades of experience and study with many of the Masters under her belt. She has the ability to teach the arts at the individual level needed by each student and is equally good with kids and adults. This is not just a hit, punch and kick studio - Sifu teaches her students the mental side of Kenpo and the other arts, the history of the arts and weapons and how to practically apply your skills in real life situations. My son has gained much of his confidence through this self defense school of martial art. The children here are so friendly, my son thinks of them as his bothers and sisters. I dare say this is the most friendly martial art school I've ever seen.
