At 50 years old I was looking for an activity that would challenge my body and my mind.
I enjoy this because there is no commercialism in this program, it is truly all about the art not the belt, and the individuals growth both mentally and physically. SIFU Figueroa teaches the true Lam Family lineage forms and techniques however also requires his students to understand the lineage origin, custom and etiquette of the art.
Now at 53, I am in significantly better muscular and mental condition, and have improved range of motion and balance.
I would recommend this to those who desire to be a true student of the art.
IF you want to understand the authenticity of real Kung Fu you don't need to go very far to find it. Here in Chandler we have an AMAZING Kung Fu instructor (Sifu) who teaches a priceless form of the martial art. We as students learn to balance the body with the mind through precision and power..all while understanding the roots of our lineage and previous masters. Most think of any form of martial art as a man's sport..sadly they are wrong. The respect, discipline and physical wellness that is gained by all (ages 5-55, men and women) is enjoyed by all..something you could never achieve for any gym membership.
As a women who has practiced for almost 3 years, I can truly say that the teachings from my Sifu Lester Figeroua has changed my life..body, mind and spirit. The Kung Fu school "One Heart Siu Lum Pai" is hands down the best gift you could ever give to yourself..your children..or anyone whom wants to restore balance withing their lives. I'm proud to be a student..
