2020 GM ROY RICHMOND LEGACY TOURNAMENT
Open Martial Arts Tournament
The 9th annual 2020 GM Roy Richmond Legacy Tournament will be held in Tazewell, Virgina. This Tae Kwon Do tournament is arguably the premier martial arts tournament held in a picturesque plateau of the majestic Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia.
Sanctioned by the Alliance
Since 2011, martial artists, teams and dojos from all corners of Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and now New York and Texas come by the hundreds to compete. The tournament is on record as having the most competitors and Black Belts in attendance than any tournament in the circuit. The tournament has helped students demonstrate how they have learned to defend themselves, practice mental toughness, exude confidence, excel, have fun, and make new friends.
Tournament participants and spectators will have the wonderful opportunity to experience Appalachian Mountain culture, events, food, dining, and tourist attractions that Tazewell County has to offer.
Benefits of Tournament Participation
Members of the The Alliance will earn points toward becoming the national grand champion.
Adult Black Belt winners will receive championship rings or belt buckles.
Jr. Black Belts with one (1) gold will re-compete for Jr. Grands male/females prior to the adult black belt competition.
