The Academy of Japanese Martial Arts is a unique martial arts experience unlike any other in Marion and Alachua Counties. We are non-profit, and our all volunteer staff of five black belt instructors have over 120 combined years of Judo experience. We strive to provide a safe, constructive, and fun environment for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults can learn the art and sport of Kodokan Judo in a fun and competitive environment.
Whether you want to train for personal fitness, a physical challenge, self defense, or to be a national competitor, TAJMA can help you on you on your path! We welcome judo newbies and seasoned veterans alike, and many of our members are families that participate together, so bring the whole crew!
We offer classes in both Ocala and Gainesville for All-age, children, or advanced, and because of our low expenses we have an affordable option for every need and need based scholarships for the deserving young martial artists who otherwise couldn’t afford to attend.
