Programs & Class Schedule
Northern Dragon Martial Arts has been offering instruction in the Bu Ryu Do system of Martial Arts since 1988. Classes are offered to students age five and older on Tuesday and Thursday each week at 6:30pm. Students will be notified of any cancelled or non-scheduled classes. classes are currently being held at North Woods High School in Cook, MN as well as several other locations in MN and in several other states. Students may sign up at class or in advance through the ISD# 2142 Community Education Office. The head instructor can also be contacted at 218.750.7907 during reasonable hours.
Classes are run simultaneously for all ages and rank. Classes start with everyone warming up, stretching and strengthening together, but then break up into appropriate groups. Two free classes are available to prospective students before actually signing up for that quarter's class. A fee is paid each quarter directly to Community Education. Karate Gi and equipment is purchased directly from the instructors if so desired. Testing fees are also paid directly to the instructors running the test. All testing fees are openly provided up front when starting class. There are no hidden fees or long-term contracts.
Bu Ryu Do trains open-handed and with traditional and modern weapons.
