The North East Student Association (formerly the Rochester Wing Chun Student Association) was started in 1996 as a private non-commercial training group. Founded by the efforts of Kathy Jo Connors and Mark Stoddard, both are long term, highly dedicated students of the martial arts. Their search for a physically and intellectually stimulating art form and the true essence of Wing Chun was found in the teachings and hands-on instruction of Chung Maannin (Kenneth Chung).
Mark and Kathy Jo have focused their personal efforts towards growing a Wing Chun school and community with locations in Rochester and Buffalo New York. The school is dedicated to the practice and preservation of Wing Chun as taught by Leung Sheung and Kenneth Chung. Through Ken's hands-on teaching, the school focuses on constant refinement, patience, practice and the precision that is inherent within Ken’s training philosophy.
The North East Wing Chun Student Association is honored and proud to be a part of the Leung Sheung Wing Chun lineage and the Worldwide Leung Sheung Lineage Association. It has been the group’s privilege and duty to help carry on that tradition through its work with Ken.
