Head Instructor Rich Ahlers Jo Kyo Nim entered in the Moo Duk Kwan 1985. Rich Ahlers has been teaching for over 10 years, including at the headquarters of the Moo Duk Kwan Federation.
Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan is a Traditional Korean Martial Art taking a defensive posture, preventing inner and outer conflict and building ones moral character. We pride ourselves on technique and developing strong discipline and respect for our teachers, parents and peers. Our class environment is a fun family oriented style to promote learning and growth.
Soo Bahk Do Training incorporates : Warm ups/Stretching, Balance, Coordination, Focus, Physical Conditioning, Control of Breathing, Meditation, Kicking and Punching, and Blocking Techniques, Self Defense
Confidence, Courage, Discipline, Classes will vary depending on curriculum and requirements through instructor discretion.
Kwan Jang Nim (Grandmaster) Hwang Kee began his martial arts studies in Manchuria, China in 1936 and founded the Moo Duk Kwan Style in Seoul, Korea on November 9, 1945. Despite enduring many hardships over the next 30 years, Hwang Kee struggled through wars and governmental/political issues to keep the Art of Soo Bahk Do (Tang Soo Do) - Moo Duk Kwan alive.
