New Wave Martial Arts, Inc. is one of the largest schools in the State of Maryland. Offering a new concept of instruction to students, we cater to teaching PRACTICAL martial arts which students will be able to use to defend themselves when they leave our school. Unlike schools who simply promote tournaments in which students earn points and medals, we prefer to keep our students safe rather than worry about how trophies they can win. The fact is, most tournament fighters focus on scoring points while the streets only reward those who can truly defend themselves.
Also, most schools seem to be more focused in how much money can they make whereas NWMA concentrates on assuring that students are only rewarded when such reward is earned. In addition, parents and students recognize that most schools are nothing more than Belt Factories! Not so at NWMA. One only has to sit and watch classes to see for themselves that our philosophy is not one of making money but rather creating relationships and protecting our students.
Shortly, NWMA will be doubling our space but will be the ONLY Multi-Discipline School in the State of Maryland. Offering MMA/BJJ, Aikido, Taekwondo/Tangsoodo, Kickboxing, Hapkido & others. No other school in the State will be offering such options utilizing a central check-in system. Visit us and see what we have to offer. In addition to Taekwondo & Tangsoodo, we offer self defense, Combat Self Defense for Military & Police, cardio kickboxing and Kids programs. Since the owners also operate 2 other businesses, they are not money motivated and do not need to be. We also offer a scholarship program to students who are stricken financially.
