Nashville Academy of Martial Arts, LLC
Nashville Academy of Martial Arts owner and instructor Allen Clark has been practicing the style of
Gama-Goju since 1994. He received his first degree black belt in 1998, after which he became an assistant instructor at CC’s Karate Institute in Bethel, NC. As an assistant instructor, he taught women’s self defense, basic self defense for youth and also was the instructor for all the belt ranks when the head Sensei was absent.
The goals of Gama-Goju karate is self-defense, discipline and respect.
Nashville Academy of Martial Arts will serve people of all ages primarily in the Nash County area. Sensei Clark will teach everything from basic martial arts to self defense to highly advanced techniques and weaponry. Nashville Academy of Martial Arts will also provide programs that will teach discipline,
self esteem and respect, all skills that will be beneficial to be successful in life.
In today’s society, self defense is more and more necessary, especially for women. Nashville Academy of Martial Arts will teach women self defense techniques that will make them feel safer in today’s society.

Programs & Class Schedule
Teeny Tiny N.A.M.A Tots:
The Teeny Tiny N.A.M.A Tots (T.T.N.T.) program is geared toward ages 2 - 3 and specifically meets the child's needs with an age-specific program. Emphasis is placed on improving your child's basic motor skills and developing positive mental skills. Our pre-kindergarten readiness program will teach skills that include focus, self-control, memory, balance and teamwork. Our group activities will teach your child the benefits of good behavior and our character education program will help your child be the best they can be, not only in our karate school, but in the outside world as well.
Students in the T.T.N.T program will be able to achieve rank up through white with black stripes within their program. When a student demonstrates the maturity and physical ability and is at the appropriate age for the T.N.T. class, they will move into that class. The instructor decides when a student is ready to be moved into a new class.
Tiny N.A.M.A Tots
The Tiny N.A.M.A. Tots (T.N.T.) program is geared toward ages 4-6 and specifically meets children's needs with an age-specific program. Emphasis is placed on improving your child's basic motor skills and developing positive mental skills. Our kindergarten readiness program will teach skills that include focus, self-control, memory, concepts, balance and teamwork. Our group activities will teach your child the benefits of good behavior, and our character education program will help your child be the best they can be, not only in our karate school, but in the outside world as well.
Students in the T.N.T program will be able to achieve rank up through green belt within their program and when they demonstrate the maturity and physical ability, and are at the appropriate age, they will be into the next level of classes.
Nashville Academy of Martial Arts also offer women's self-defense classes. These classes teach rape escape, ground grappling as well as using everyday items a woman carries as weapons
We also offer martial arts classes for ages 7 to adult. Emphasis is placed on hand-to-hand combat, self-defense, close quarter combat, grappling, weapon self-defense, weapon sparring. Emphasis are placed on improving the student's mental developments. We teach street readiness, which includes focus, self-control and awareness. We also teach gun and knife tactics.
