Programs & Class Schedule

Program Outlines

We incorporate cardio contact workouts in all of our programs. Learning to execute and apply the fighter’s basic tools: punches, elbows, kicks, and knees. From the start you will be executing them against focus mitts, kick shields, and heavy bags.

Whether you choose one program or a combination, you will have the benefit of a great cardio contact workout while working towards your Martial Arts goals.

Adult Kajukenbo

Kajukenbo Self-Defense teaches the martial arts system composed of the best techniques from five different martial arts. KA-from Karate, JU-from judo & jujitsu, KEN-from Kenpo, and Bo-from Chinese boxing. The founders of this system were masters of their own right. Their goal: work together to find the best in each others style and create a complete system of self-defense. The result KAJUKENBO: an art that teaches multiply attacks and street self-defense.

Training consists of warm ups, line drills, strength conditioning, lots of techniques - offense & defense drills, heavy bag, focus mitts, body sheild drills, counter strikes, grappling for counters/escapes, and Kubotan weapon training. You will learn the basic strikes, blocks, kicks, combination techniques, knees and elbows.

You will also learn how to protect yourself using the Kubotan keyring.

Youth Kajukenbo

Kajukenbo offers a whole range of benefits to aid you & your child’s learning process. Apart from the increase in motor skills, such as coordination, balance and agility, martial arts develop the mental aspect. Through Kajukenbo, you, your child will also learn self-control, self-respect, concentration, and self-confidence. These skills assist in helping your child excel at home, at school and in life.

We offer classes that are specifically geared toward the needs of beginners. Before you participate in the group classes, you will first participate in a short introductory course. This course is designed to get you ready for the group lessons. Your child will be learning the basic fundamentals of the Kajukenbo system consisting of blocks, strikes, kicks, stances and foot movements. This is also designed to help the instructor place you or your child in the correct class. The introductory course is required for all new students.

Kubotan (key ring) Training

Highly Effective Self Defense in the Palm of Your Hand!
Kubotans are highly accessible, extremely durable, and very effective self defense weapons. The Kuboton is designed to be used against bony surfaces, soft tissue and nerve points. It is effective because of the temporary paralysis or extreme pain it causes. Even for those without experience in a martial art, the Kubotan provides an inexpensive and easily learned method of self defense. A key ring is attached so you can it as your regular keychain.

The kuboton is legal and entirely unregulated. To most people, the Kubotan is little more than a nondescript key ring. While the Kubotan is not particularly intimidating, it remains an effective self defense instrument. It really can save your life.

Incorporated into all classes you will learn the most common grappling escapes and counters. We understand that you might have to face a take down situation while defending yourself and knowing how to handle escaping and or countering the attacker is imperative.
