Been training for 1 year and i love this place. Its like an old school kung fu school meets modern day mixed martial arts mentality. They got it all,& for all ages too! jkd, mma, kali, & Bjj. Not to mention the training equipment is all inclusive. Heavy, speed, & double end bags, plus they have like 6 wing chun training dummies.
the instructors are top notch & extremely patient & highly skilled with their craft. which has been a pleasure learning.
As a highly skilled instructor, Sifu Damon Evans custom tailors very comprehensive, very effective fighting styles that play to each student’s individual strengths. Under his expert tutelage, you won’t waste your time and money testing for belts or learning choreographed and entirely impractical forms that may look pretty but lack any real-life application.
Irrespective of one’s size, shape, age, gender, or current level of physical fitness, and regardless of one’s overall knowledge, experience, and previous exposure to the martial arts, anyone could and would benefit from all that the JKD Academy has to offer.
Whether you’re training solely for self-defense or just looking for a great workout, I would wholeheartedly recommend that you stop by 224B Weller Street to see for yourself what everyone’s talking about.
