The martial art of Aikido is now available to learn in Mount Washington Valley, New Hampshire. This graceful self-defense methodology is performed by blending with the motion of the attacker and redirecting the force of the attack rather than opposing it head-on. This requires very little physical strength, as the aikidōka (aikido practitioner) "leads" the attacker's momentum using entering and turning movements. The techniques are completed with various throws or joint locks.
Instructor, Jack Henry is a 2nd dan in Aikikai Aikido and has been in the martial arts for many years. Recently, he relocated to the Mount Washington Valley after studying Aikido at the Baltimore Academy. Aikido classes are held in Conway, New Hampshire in the beautiful setting of Mount Washington Valley.
