Mizu no Kokoro Aikikai
Welcome to the Mizu no Kokoro Aikikai!
Mizu no Kokoro is a Japanese concept translated as “A mind/heart like water.” More specifically it is often taken as “A mind like still water,” referring to a state of mind which allows one to calmly reflect on life and its trials. We at Mizu no Kokoro Aikikai (“a gathering of Aikidoka”) cultivate this mindset as we train in the Way of Aikido while exploring the other aspects of a mind like water; its strength, flow, and quickness, for some. In the style of Aikido practiced here, there are no competitions. We all work to strengthen each other’s practice. - Shin Shin Ryu Iaijutsu
Programs & Class Schedule
Intermediate/Advanced Aikido is offered M-Thur and Saturday.
Beginner Aikido is offered M-Thur and Saturday.
Children's Aikido is offered Monday and Thursday.
All ranks Aikido is offered in the Saturday class.
Shin Shin Ryu Iaijutsu is offered on Saturday under the auspices of Tora no Tsume.
