Our two daughters began at a young age and were patiently shown how each Kata is done, and the technique associated with each movement. Jeff Mires has a great way with children, and his association with Grandmaster Dan Tosh at the Brentwood DoJo is a great benefit to students. Being shown by a master in the arts of Karate shows all students and instructors how to remain humble when being instructed by someone with over 50 years of experience.
Very professional and passionate

Sensei Mires is very passionate about martials arts and you can see it in the way he teaches. He keeps the kids engaged and encourages them to do better, yet lets them learn from their mistakes. I would highly recommend Mires Martial Arts for any parents who have children. Classes are a good size and are organized in a way where it is easy to supervise what your child is doing. Also the fee's are very reasonable compared to other areas.
