We are based at the Athol Area YMCA, offering Martial Arts to all of the Greater Athol area to students of all ages. About Us:
Mid-State Soo Bahk Do and the Athol YMCA have combined to offer the area’s adults the best martial arts instruction in a community atmosphere. We offer internationally certified Martial Arts instruction in the ancient Korean martial art of Soo Bahk Do for students of any age. Our goal is to develop self-discipline and respect for oneself and others while teaching self-defense skills through the art of Soo Bahk Do. As practitioners, we compete not with others but within ourselves and develop our skills to the best of abilities. Inside the Dojang we hone our skills. In the community, we take pride in the discipline and philosophy which make us unique among Martial Arts Practitioners.
Internationally Certified Instruction
Mid-State Soo Bahk Do®/Mid-State Karate, (studio number TA605) is the only certified Moo Duk Kwan® Studio in central New England. We are inspected annually to insure that we conform to the Standards and Practices of the U.S. Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan® Federation Inc., the World Moo Duk Kwan® and the Korean Soo Bahk Do® Association.
