Mayers likes to overbill and offers terrible customer service. Avaoid this establishment.

Instructors at this school are good, but the owners/instructors (the Mayers) over bill and offer horrible customer service. My child initially liked going there, but soon became uneasy. Mr. Mayer was difficult to work with and is not very accommodating to parents that may have to bring small siblings in to watch the class.

Don't sign any contracts with these guys especially for young children that could change their minds

Do not sign any contracts
Mayer's Karate has a couple of fantastic teachers, especially with special needs children--that's what keeps us coming back. However, classes are on the expensive side, and there have been times when management raises the cost without notice (which you'll never know unless you look at your credit card statement). They also have membership rules that some parents find unreasonable, such as charging students for classes that are canceled so they can do work on the place.
