Reviews of Master Hwang's World Martial Arts Center

My son and I started as white belts and advance all the way to black belts at Hwang's WMAC from January 2007 to December 2010, so almost four years. We received excellent training throughout and were treated with upmost respect by Master Hwang and the other instructors and students there. I highly recommend this studio. Students are taught respect, courtesy, integrity, self-control, goal-setting and much more, in addition to the self defense aspect, which was excellent! I'm very surprised to see a couple of negative reviews, (although I do agree that he should have refunded the one person's money if they chose to quit before even starting. Not good business practice). Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about Master Hwang or his studio.

My daughter joined his class, did the trial and decided she didn't want to do it after we signed her up for a year. She then decided she didn't want to do it anymore prior to her starting the one year. We went in to ask for the refund of deposit and month in advance payment and he will not pay us back even though she never started. Read the fine print if you sign up. We are now supposedly stuck in a 1 year monthly payment even though our daughter isn't in the program and never started!!! Very poor business! Don't trust Master Hwang! Very unprofessional and unethical establishment!

Master Hwang never keeps his schedule. The class is supposed to end at 5, but the students don't leave until 5:20.
