The Story of Masharu Martial Arts: A Legacy of Discipline and Excellence
Masharu Martial Arts was born out of a passion for martial arts and a desire to inspire others through the discipline, strength, and respect embodied in the practice of Shotokan Karate. Founded by Christopher Bryan Marshall, a 3rd-degree black belt with decades of experience, Masharu Martial Arts has grown into a vibrant community that fosters personal growth, respect, and the pursuit of excellence in all its students.
A Family-Driven Mission
With the unwavering support of Candi Michelle Marshall, the school manager and co-owner, Masharu Martial Arts was established as a family-oriented dojo where students of all ages can come together to learn, grow, and achieve their personal best. Their son, Christopher Jordan Marshall, also a first-degree black belt, continues the family tradition, inspiring the next generation of martial artists.
The name "Masharu" represents not only the unity and strength of the Marshall family but also the dojo’s commitment to building strong, disciplined students who strive to embody the spirit of martial arts in every aspect of their lives.
Our Mission
At Masharu Martial Arts, we believe that martial arts training goes beyond physical techniques. Our mission is to build character, instill confidence, and develop leaders. By teaching the traditional values of respect, discipline, and perseverance, we empower our students to apply these principles to their lives outside the dojo—whether at school, work, or at home.
